Main Programs

The Department of Russian for foreigners (non-philologists) is an inter-departmental formation for 16 non-philological Faculties of St. Petersburg State University, including the Faculties of History and Philosophy.

 

 

The main subjects of Academic work:

 

 

  • 1) Instruction in Russian for the foreign students of non-philological specialties, both of Natural Sciences and Humanities;

     

  • 2) Preliminary preparation in Russian (elementary and correctional) of students, Master degree students and postgraduate students,

     

  • 3) Mastering in basic (everyday) Russian. The educational work of the Department is connected with the teaching of the professional language and includes the orientation and the preparation of the foreign students for educational, scientific and professional activity according to their professional and scientific interests. All the Programs of the Department are developed on the basis of the State Educational Standards for Russian as a foreign language and the Standard Tests on Russian of education (II and III levels).

  1. Russian Preparatory stage of teaching: the basic course. Preparation in the following programs: «Bachelor» «Specialist» «Master» «Postgraduate Student. Term: two semesters.

     

  2. Russian Preparatory stage of teaching: the correctional course. Preparation for course in the following programs: «Bachelor» «Specialist» «Master» «Postgraduate Student. Term: one semester.

     

  3. Russian for foreign students: the program «Bachelor».

     

  4. Russian for foreign students: the program «Specialist».

     

  5. Russian for foreign students: the program «Master».

     

  6. Russian for foreign PhD students.

     

  7. Russian for foreign internship students.
